 Learn MIndfulness MEDITATION in one-on-0ne sessions

Many people say "I can't meditate - my mind just can't stop thinking" but this is one of the biggest miss-conceptions about meditation. 

Mindfulness Meditation is not about having blissful, peak experiences. It is about changing our relationship with our experiences and becoming less reactive and more present.
 
Meditation is not about moving away from life to some other reality. Meditation brings us back to our life so we can embrace it more fully and live it more compassionately
 
No thought is a problem… we don't have to fight the thoughts when meditating.
 
Every time you realise you are in a stream of thoughts, you choose to bring your attention back to your breath or your body or the sounds or to the dark space on back of your eyelids.
 
This is PRESENT MOMENT AWARENESS   Every time you come back to present moment awareness you are being mindful.

Each session will have information/theory, guided mindfulness, practice, a chat with coffee/tea and will be light hearted and enjoyable. The program will be tailored to your individual needs, and here is an indication of the types of things that can be covered.

The following will be covered:

  • What is mindfulness?
  • The benefits of mindfulness
  • 5 specific everyday practices to be more mindful, effective and more focused at work
  • Taming the “overthinking” mind
  • Mindfulness and self-compassion (most people are very hard on themselves and this impacts both on wellbeing and productivity.)
  • Self-compassion Practice
  • Mindful body scan for relaxation
  • A mindfulness practice for 3am worrying and sleeplessness!
  • Mindfulness of emotions (theory and practice)
  • The distinction between the thinking and awareness (theory and practice). Mindfulness develops the capacity to be aware of our thoughts and observe and let go unhelpful mindset

 There will be homework/practice between sessions (guided mindfulness meditation and everyday practices). Sessions will be held at Helen’s private mindfulness studio (separate entrance) at her home in Somerton Park or on ZOOM! 
 
Each session will be 60-75 minutes.
